Sobi Ragunathan

A graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), Sobi Ragunathan is a dedicated professional with 20+ years of experience of helping diverse Canadian workplaces build and maintain sustainable OHS programs.

In 2004, Sobi co-founded 4S Consulting Service Inc. (4S), an OHS consulting, technology, and training company. In the past 16 years, 4S has grown into one of the largest privately held OHS companies in Canada. Sobi was instrumental in creating 4S’ innovative three pillar methodology of Consulting, Training, and Proprietary Software Systems. In 2019, 4S was recognized as one of the finalists at the Markham Board of Trade Annual Awards under the Innovation Category for its innovative use of the 3-pillar methodology. 4S has been touching the lives of thousands of employers and millions of employees from coast-to-coast.

Sobi is actively involved in working with the government to promote safety training and Occupational Health & Safety as a career. She is a sought-after speaker on OHS issues for Canadian banks, airports, municipalities, chambers of commerce, and industry associations. Sobi is an IHSA Associate External CORTM Auditor and ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor. She is also an active part of the League of Champions, an organization that promotes safety leadership. Sobi also sits on many safety committees of many industry associations such as the Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA).

Sobi is also the co-author of the upcoming book “Creating Awesome Corporate Safety Culture”, a book on creating sustainable OHS culture for Canadian workplaces.
