Nazmin Gupta
Nazmin Gupta, ICD.D
Nazmin is a senior commercial real estate executive with over 30 years of experience in the institutional commercial real estate industry. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) (external link) and on the Board of Governors of Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). At MPAC, Nazmin is a member of the Audit and Investment Policy Committees, and at TMU, Nazmin is a member of the Employee Relations and Pensions, Finance, and Property Committees. In addition, Nazmin is an Executive-In-Residence at R-Labs Canada Inc. (external link) , a venture studio focused on launching technology enabled businesses in the real estate and housing industry. Her role involves advising the Founder and CEO of R-Labs and supporting the new venture and investments teams as they launch innovative solutions in the industry.
Nazmin is the CEO of Ashiana Holdings Inc (external link) . and has spent the majority of her career in leadership positions at global institutional commercial real estate asset managers BentallGreenOak (external link) , TD Greystone Asset Management (external link) , and Morguard Investments Ltd (external link) . Her expertise includes growth strategy development and execution; institutional real asset management; fund structure and management, sales/capital raising; marketing and strategic communications; and new product generation. Throughout her career, Nazmin has been a results-oriented leader, a passionate mentor, and a driver of innovation at the organizations in which she has served.
Nazmin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from the Wharton School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania (external link) . In addition, Nazmin holds an ICD.D designation and has completed the Director’s Education Program from the Institute of Corporate Directors (external link) and the Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto (external link) . She has completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School and Columbia Business School in Corporate Finance, Strategy, Process Improvement, and Marketing. A firm believer in lifelong learning, Nazmin is currently pursuing the Board level GCB.D Designation and Certificate and is enrolled in the ESG Designation Program with Competent Boards (external link) .
