Lisa-Marie Williams
Since graduating from TMU with an honours degree in Urban Planning and earning a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, Lisa-Marie has worked for various justice sector organizations including the provincial legislature, a human rights legal clinic, a provincial law reform agency, a provincial trial court, and a provincial regulator. Currently, as Associate Counsel at Amgen Canada, she provides multifaceted legal, compliance and policy advice to business partners across Amgen as well as to business partners from Amgen’s research facility in Burnaby, British Columbia. Lisa-Marie has volunteered with numerous non-profit groups focused on some form of community development and/or youth engagement, including the Toronto District School Board’s Black Student Achievement Community Advisory Committee, TMU’s Tri-Mentoring Program, Girls E-Mentorship, and the Black Opportunity Fund. Outside of work and volunteer activities, Lisa-Marie is an avid reader of contemporary literary fiction as well as a devoted fan of live music - anything from local artist showcases to international music festivals.
