Event template

This template is used to create an event that has a specific start and end date.

Create an event

Event pages must be created as child pages of a year/month archive.  The same is true of news templates.

Once you have created the yearly & monthly archives, navigate to the necessary month (01=January, 02=February, etc.)

  1. Select "Create"> choose "Page"
  2. Select "Event" and select the blue "Next" button
  3. Add descriptive Title
    *If name field is left blank, one will be auto-created using title field content
  4. Select "Create"
  5. Select "Open" to edit file

The template contains an embedded event release component with the following fields:

  1. Title - event title becomes the default H1
     The Page Title is added when the page is created
  2. Thumbnail tab - images added here will appear in the grid view of an event list; add an image via Side Rail> Assets
  3. Summary
  4. From - enter a start date and time  Required field
  5. To - enter an end date  Required field
  6. All Day selection
  7. Event Open to
  8. Location
  9. Contact
  10. Website
  11. Registration Link
  12. Tags

Other components (images, slideshows, tables, etc.) can be added anywhere below the news release component.
