Soapbox Science 2020
In 2020, we brought science out of the lab and into the virtual streets for two exciting nights on November 18th and 19th.
Using their virtual soapbox, our speakers shared cutting edge research with the general public and engage curious minds of all ages. This wasn't your average science talk - we swapped powerpoints for fun props and panels for direct access to leading scientists. Find out how researchers study a baby’s pain, what a massive star combusting means for you or how machines can learn deeply!
Our event also celebrated the International LGBTQ2+ STEM Day (external link, opens in new window) (Nov. 18)! We featured two fabulous women in STEM who identify as part of the LGBTQ2+ community.
