Soapbox Science

Soapbox Science (external link, opens in new window) , originally launched in London, UK, is an innovative public outreach platform designed to promote women and non-binary scientists and their work. In 2017, SciXchange introduced Soapbox Science to North America. These events transform public spaces into arenas for learning and debate, encouraging scientists to explain their research to the public using engaging props and their soapbox.

We will host the 8th annual Soapbox Science Toronto event this September in partnership with Word on the Street Toronto. The event is free and open to all ages.
