Chang school

 Chang School courses do not follow the undergraduate fee deadlines.

Consult the Chang School website (opens in new window)  for appropriate deadlines. Refer to their Important Dates page for enrolment periods, course drop deadlines, and all other significant dates.

The Chang School of Continuing Education (or simply ‘Chang School’) offers evening courses for those who wish to earn a certificate. These courses are available to undergraduate students, and are eligible to satisfy their curriculum requirements. 

Undergraduate students generally take Chang School courses during the Spring/Summer semester. Students use this opportunity to complete their liberals and open elective requirements. Before registering for a Chang School course please ensure that the credit can be used toward your degree. Some Chang School courses are not applicable to your degree or may be a “certificate credit” only. 

How to enroll in chang school courses

Please note course fees are due up front during enrolment with a valid credit card. 

Like your regular undergraduate courses, you will have to enroll in Chang School courses via your MyServiceHub portal.

To search for classes on MyServiceHub, please make sure your search criteria matches the following.

Term: 'Spring/Summer 20XX' or 'Winter 20XX'
Subject: Please add a ‘C’ to your course code (ex. MKT becomes 'CMKT') 
Course Number: 2-3 digits of the course code
Course Career: Continuing Education

Chang School Class Search Example

Pay attention to the course start and end date on MyServiceHub. Chang School courses may be delivered in a condensed format or online. 

Spring/Summer courses may be offered in any of the following ways:

  • Spring (beginning of May – end of June) are condensed classes. You are required to attend class twice per week. 
  • Summer (end of June – beginning of August) – These are condensed classes. You are required to attend class twice per week. 
  • Regular (May-August) – Similar to a regular term. You are required to attend class once per week.
  • Distance Education (usually May–July but may be offered in a condensed format too) – Online delivery.
  • Intensive (1 Week) - delivered either distant or in person. 

Undergraduate course offerings

In addition to Chang School offerings, some other Spring/Summer classes may be offered through TRSM programs or other schools at TMU. You may search for these courses and enroll in them via MyServiceHub. These course will follow the undergradauate calendar.
