Ted Rogers School of Management Pre-Orientation

TRSM Pre-orientation

Are you an incoming Ted Rogers School student? Get an early start to success in university with the Pre-Orientation Program (POP) (external link)  starting in the first week of August. Make sure to check out the Fit for Business events page and click into each session to learn about what you can expect! Follow @tedrogersffb (external link)  to stay updated and read your weekly Ted Rogers School Fit for Business emails (external link)  for important information.

TMU Engineering Boost Program

Are you a new incoming engineering student? Join your First-Year Engineering Office (FYEO) during the months of July and August for one or all of these optional boost courses. Each course will help you to improve and reinforce fundamental topics and concepts you’ll encounter in your first year engineering subjects.

Mini- Programming

Join members of Toronto Met's computer science faculty for an intensive course in the fundamentals of computer programming. Improve your understanding and prepare for the second semester course CPS 125 and CPS 188.

Duration: July 5 - 16th, 2 weeks, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM EST, 2 hours per day.

Format: Live, Online 

All registrants will receive an email on how to access the course after June 30th.

Mini-Physics

To better prepare for PCS 211, this mini course will review the fundamentals of high-school physics, and preview some of the material you'll encounter during your first year.

Duration: July 19 - 30th, 2 weeks, 2:00 - 4:00 PM EST, 2 hours per day.

Format: Live, Online 

All registrants will receive an email on how to access the course after July 13th.

Mini-Math

Join this course to review the fundamentals of calculus and advanced functions. This course will help incoming students prepare for university level engineering courses:MTH 140 &MTH 141

Duration: August 16-27th, 2 weeks, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM EST, 2 hours per day.

Format: Live, Online 

All registrants will receive an email on how to access the course after August 10th.

We're matching every TMU student with a peer mentor before you even begin classes! Our Orientation Crew is ready to welcome you and help you navigate Toronto Met when it comes to your studies, getting involved, and accessing all the supports available to you as a student. We can't wait to meet you!

You can be matched with an Upper Year student in the same program or faculty that you will be starting your studies in the Fall. Your trained Mentor will be able to answer your initial questions about campus life, your faculty and get you connected to various resources on campus. In order to activate your account as a Peer Mentee follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to torontomu.peoplegrove.com (external link, opens in new window) 
  2. Using the email attached to your TMU application, sign up as a Student
  3. Update your profile and fill in the remaining information then submit
