The Weather Network Scholarship

For a third- or fourth-year Journalism or Radio and Television Arts student with an interest in a television career, and who is a member of an Aboriginal or visible minority community, or with a disability.

Pelmorex is a Canadian company that specializes in producing weather information, websites and applications, as well as specialty television networks. Pelmorex Corp is the parent company of The Weather Network, MétéoMédia, Alert Ready, Eltiempo.es, Clima, Wetter Plus, and formerly Beat the Traffic.

In 2001, the Weather Network approached Toronto Met with the desire to establish a scholarship supporting cultural diversity among young television professionals. Alternating each year between the schools of Journalism and Radio and Television Arts, this award recognizes the achievement of broadcasting students.
