Jananie Manoharan is Legal Counsel at Toronto Metropolitan University, where she provides strategic legal advice and support on research and innovation, corporate and commercial law, data privacy, regulatory matters, and intellectual property.
Before joining TMU, Jananie practiced at a national law firm, advising not-for-profit and healthcare organizations on privacy, cybersecurity, and governance. She also served as Legal Counsel at a leading research hospital and was the legal lead for the Canadian Critical Care Trials Group & Network of Clinical Trials Networks.
Jananie holds an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto and a Juris Doctor from the University of Western Ontario.
