Joanne Tsang

Joanne Tsang is Director of Development Administration in the Office of the Vice-President, University Advancement and Legal Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel, reporting jointly to both offices at Toronto Metropolitan University. She provides services in drafting donation and sponsorship agreements in compliance with University policies and CRA requirements.

Prior to joining Toronto Metropolitan University, Joanne was the Associate Director of Major and Planned Gifts, and Chief Legal, Regulatory and Privacy Officer at Providence Healthcare Foundation. In that role, she provided strategic advice and helped execute major gift solicitations, provided direction on CRA guidelines and legislative changes, maintained privacy and operational aspects of the Foundation, and drafted gift agreements.

Joanne graduated with a JD from the University of British Columbia in 2013. She completed her articles at an intellectual property law firm in Toronto. She also holds a B.A.Sc. in Chemical Engineering (Environmental minor) from the University of Toronto.
