Reference
The reference component is used to display published content from another page. A reference component can only reference a component, not a page.
- Found in Side Panel> Components > Reference
- Required content: Locate the path to the component in the page you want to reference
- Optional fields: None

Tip: Path in the reference component is the TITLE and not name.
How to use
1. Open page & select the side panel icon
2. Under Components, locate the Reference component
3. Drag the Reference component onto page
4. To edit the component, double-click, or select component and select the wrench icon
5. Select the folder/search icon (See image to the right) to navigate to the page with the component you want to display

How to select path to the component
It's important to know the specific content component you want to reference/include. This will help identify the correct component as you navigate the path (see the illustration below). If a component is contained in another component such as a columns component, you can reference the columns, or the content in one of the columns.
6. Select the checkmark to view the referenced content in the page.
7. Publish page

B. If a component is being referenced, here's how to find out from where:
- Click on the component to reveal the horizontal toolbar
- Click on the orange “link” icon
- Review linked references components
- Related: Find page references

Things to know when referencing content from another page:
- If you are referencing a component from another site, only authors of that site can edit or publish the content.
- If a referenced component is moved out of or into a layout component in the content you are referencing, the component will no longer appear in your page. The referenced component path will need to be manually updated.
