CCS Scheduled Maintenance and Outages

Preventative Maintenance includes a variety of activities necessary to keep information and technology services running, such as software patches, fixes and upgrades, hardware upgrade. Additional outages may occur as a result of unforeseen hardware or software issues. In these cases, CCS strives to provide as much notice as possible.

No alternate service will be available if a system or an application is not available due to the scheduled maintenance or outage, unless explicitly indicated in the table below for the particular system/application.

  • Wednesday, November 6 to Monday, November 11 (10:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m)
    Upgrading wireless access points.
    User Impact: There's no impact to end users. Graceful upgrade will be happening over the next 5 days between 10:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m.
  • Sunday, November 10, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 
    Upgrading network switches for TRS - 3rd floor.
    User Impact: All network devices will be disconnected during this period.
  • Wednesday, November 13, 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. 
    Updating Pentaho.
    User Impact: Impacting only the UPO Dashboard/Report users. End users will be notified of the outage via email.
  • Saturday, November 16, 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. 
    Updating phone systems.
    User Impact: Jabber clients will get disconnected while applying the new certificate.
  • Saturday, November 16, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.  
    Updating eHR. 
    User Impact: eHR Production will be down from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Stat & the non-production environments will be down briefly throughout the day.
  • Saturday, November 16, 11:00 p.m. to Saturday, November 17, 2:00 a.m. 
    Updating RMS servers.
    User Impact: RMS Activation, Self Service and Admin will be unavailable during the downtime.
  • Saturday, November 17, 12:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. 
    Updating CAS servers.
    User Impact: Portal, CAS will not be available during the downtime. Any application using CAS including RUVPN2, Google Workspace, etc. can not accept new login during the downtime.
  • Sunday, November 17, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.  
    Updating MyServiceHub. 
    User Impact: MyServiceHub production will be down from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. The non-production environments will be down briefly between 2PM and 10PM.
  • Monday, November 18, 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 
    Implementing strict email domain protection policy.
    User Impact: Messages that are sent from third-party systems that have a From of *any* torontomu.ca address will all be affected. Messages originating on the TMU network that aren't sent via our official relay servers or GMail will also be affected. Senders can expect that 10% of their email will be Sent to Spam starting on November 18th, and increasing over time, eventually not receiving delivery at all.
  • Wednesday, November 20, 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. 
    Updating ColdFusion.
    User Impact: All Coldfusion apps will be down on production during this outage.
  • Friday, November 22, 5:00 p.m. to Monday, November 25, 8:00 a.m. 
    Updating eHR.
    User Impact: eHR and all related services will be down during the outage. 
  • Tuesday, November 26, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. 
    Updating application servers.
    User Impact: coldfusion and java applications, including Teaching assign application, will be unavailable.
