CCS Scheduled Maintenance and Outages

Preventative Maintenance includes a variety of activities necessary to keep information and technology services running, such as software patches, fixes and upgrades, hardware upgrade. Additional outages may occur as a result of unforeseen hardware or software issues. In these cases, CCS strives to provide as much notice as possible.

No alternate service will be available if a system or an application is not available due to the scheduled maintenance or outage, unless explicitly indicated in the table below for the particular system/application.

    Migrating Azure RU to TMU for all user accounts, devices and data from @ryerson.ca to @torontomu.ca.
    User Impact: Users will be communicated with an email for the next steps. (link to new website).
  • Wednesday, June 26, 10 p.m. to Thursday, June 27, 2:00 a.m.
    Updating wireless access points.
    User Impact: None expected.
  • Thursday, June 27, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
    Updating Content 7 servers.
    User Impact: Content 7 servers will be unavailable during this period. The desktop client will remain online during this outage.
  • Friday, June 28, 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
    Updating CAS.
    User Impact: There will be a 5-10 minute full outage during this scheduled period. And a degraded service during the rest of the scheduled period.
  • Friday, June 28, 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
    Upgrading WordPress.
    User Impact: The blog.torontomu.ca network will be unavailable briefly (<10 minutes) while the application updates. Subsequently, each blog will experience a brief (<1minute) outage as it is upgraded. A full system restart/outage is not required. There should be no impact to the end users during the testing phase.

    Updating Cold Fusion.
    User Impact: No access to Colf Fusion applications *.cf.torontomu.ca.

    Renewing SSL certificates.

    Updating eHR.
    User Impact: Production will remain up and running with a brief outage for the batch server. All non-production environments will be down briefly during the window.
  • Saturday, July 27, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    Updating MyServiceHub.
    User Impact: MyService Hub production will remain up and running. The non-production environments will be down briefly.
  • Sunday, August 11, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
    Updating Stat database.
    User Impact:  Stat and all related functions with be down from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
  • Saturday, August 31, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
    Updating eHR
    User Impact: Production will be down from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. All non-production environments will be down briefly during the window.
  • Sunday, September 1, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    Updating MyServiceHub.
    User Impact: MyServiceHub production will be down from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.  All non-production environments will be down briefly during the outage.
  • Sunday, October 27, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    Updating MyServiceHub.
    User Impact: MyService Hub production will remain up and running. The non-production environments will be down briefly.
  • Sunday, October 27, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    Updating MyServiceHub.
