Changes from 01/08/2025 to 01/15/2025

    Upgrading system software for CAS and my.torontomu portal.
    User Impact: Access to CAS and my.torontomu portal maybe intermittent during this period.

    Updating TMU's Resource and Identity Management System.
    User Impact: Access to Self Service will be intermittent during this period.
  • Friday, January 10, 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. - completed
    Updating OneCard website certificate.
    User Impact:  The outage should not be more than 5 minutes.
  • Saturday, January 11, 11:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. - completed
    Updating RMS servers.
    User Impact: Access to RMS Activation, Self Service and Admin will be unavailable during the downtime.
  • Sunday, January 12, 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. - completed
    Updating CAS servers.
    User Impact: Access to all CAS and uPortal instances will be unavailable. Google Workspace, eHR, TMU-VPN, MyServiceHub and D2L cannot accept new login during the downtime.

    Upgrading TRS - 2nd floor network.

    Testing of torontomu.ca backup servers and process.
    User Impact: The AEM author production server is not impacted.
  • Thursday, January 16, 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. - completed
    Updating Jabber.
    User Impact: Jabber phone calls may get interrupted during the change.
  • Friday, January 17, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. - completed
    Updating TMU's Resource and Identity Management System.
    User Impact: Access to Activation, Self Service and RMS Admin will be intermittent during this period.
  • Friday, January 17, 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. - completed
    Disabling social logins for Adobe.
    User Impact: Users will no longer be able to login to Adobe using social media options. They will be prompted to create a password for their Adobe ID or Enterprise ID.

    Updating RUAD AD - Azure AD sync engine.
    User Impact: Full Synchronization from RUAD to Azure-AD is required which will take 1-2hrs.
    During that time, changes to accounts and groups in Azure from RUAD will be delayed until full sync is completed.

    Updating XMFax.
    User Impact: Users will not be able to login during the outage time. Incoming fax will not be impacted.

    Updating TMUAD - Azure AD sync engine.
    User Impact: Full Synchronization from TMUAD to Azure-AD is required which will take 1-2hrs.
    During that time, changes to accounts and groups in Azure from TMUAD will be delayed until full sync is completed.

    Updating Oracle database servers.
    User Impact: Coldfusion, Bitbucket and all other applications supported will not be available. End users are aware of the outage.

    Upgrading TAI dashboards.
    User Impact:  Impacting only the TAI Dashboard/Report users NOT the TAI Application itself. End users will be notified of the outage via email notification at the end of this week.

    Applying assorted fixes and features to Adobe AEM.
    User Impact: AEM author production needs to be restarted between 6:30 am and 8:00 am. https://www.torontomu.ca won't be affected.

    User Impact: This change will only impact UPO Dashboard/Report users. End users will be notified of the outage via email notification.

    Updating InstantID for OneCard office.
    User Impact: InstantID will be down for 15 minutes. OneCard is aware.

    Upgrading TRS EMS.
    User Impact: EMS users and web users will be unable to access the system while upgrading.
  • Friday, January 31, 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. - completed
    Upgrading WordPress.
    User Impact: The blog.torontomu.ca network will be unavailable briefly (<10 minutes) while the application updates. Subsequently, each blog will experience a brief (<1minute) outage as it is upgraded. A full system restart/outage is not required. There should be no impact to the end users during the testing phase.
