Fall

  • Bridging Divides Emerging Research Grants: Applicants may propose research in new or emerging areas that contribute to ongoing Bridging Divides projects or propose new projects aligned with the program’s research themes. Deadline: November
  • Indigenous SRC Distinction Fund Competition: Provides internal funds to support the advancement of Indigenous faculty members’ SRC activities. Deadline: November

Winter

  • SSHRC Explore Competition: The SSHRC Explore grant provides funds to faculty members pursuing research/scholarship in the social sciences and humanities. Deadline: February
  • Strategic SRC Initiative Fund: Provides internal funds to enhance areas of SRC excellence that are of strategic importance to the university by giving researchers/scholars an opportunity to nurture and scale their SRC initiatives. Deadline: March
  • Internal Equipment Grant: Provides funding for the purchase of research-related tools and/or equipment to support existing and proposed SRC activity at the university. 

Continuous

  • Supplemental Indigenous SRC Fund: Offers non-competitive supplemental SRC funding support to Indigenous faculty members’ SRC programs, including the training of Indigenous undergraduate and/or graduate students towards expanding Indigenous scholarship at the university. 
  • Internal SRC Events/Activities Supplemental Funding Support: Offers supplemental financial support to SRC events/activities held on the university campus.
  • Provost and VP Academic. The Office of the Provost and Vice-President, Academic supports full-time faculty members in hosting short-term knowledge mobilization initiatives.
