TedPack Ambassadors
These first-year students share important information with their peers and host virtual and in-person socials, study sessions and more to foster community.
Being a TedPack Ambassador gave me the stepping stone I needed to feel more comfortable transitioning into university and meet other students with the same passion for being a student leader someday. It gave me the opportunity and momentum to be part of more student groups and active in the community, which in turn gave me an unforgettable first-year experience.
Being a TedPack Ambassador has been incredible! I was fortunate to be paired with someone who was one of my closest friends. It also gave me the confidence to seize new opportunities during my first year. In 2023, I will serve on the Board of Directors for the Ted Rogers Students’ Society alongside two other TedPack Ambassadors. I am confident that I would not have received this if it hadn't been for the network I've built through my TedPack.
Being a TedPack Ambassador has helped me in many ways during my first year. It helped me build community, find people who have the same interests as me, make long-lasting friendships, and it also helped me grow and mature as a person
Being a TedPack Ambassador has been the best part of my first-year experience as it has given me the platform to make several friends within and outside my pack. It has also created a platform that pushes me to attend the never-ending TRSM events. Honestly, I don't think my first-year experience would have been the same if I hadn't become a Tedpack Ambassador
Many outings with my TedPack have allowed me to form relationships with others, including international students. This gave me much insight into how others deal with university and my program. With TedPacks, I was able to gain a lot of connections & build a community of students to promote other events and competitions relevant to us. This community also came in handy during exam season as we can help prepare one another. TedPacks has made me feel included despite the massive change from high school to university, and I'm grateful for that.
Being a TedPack Ambassador has greatly helped me succeed in my first-year experience at Ted Rogers as I got to network with upper-year students and fellow peers. I'm glad to have gotten this golden opportunity to build a community with 45 people within my TedPack, and while doing so, I managed to develop friendships that have impacted me in my undergraduate journey.
TedPack Mentors
TedPack Mentors are upper-year Ted Rogers School students that provide mentorship and guidance to TedPack members so they can better succeed in their first-year.
Being a TedPack mentor has influenced my TRSM experience by allowing me to get to know many more people and form incredible connections. Being able to continue helping out first-year students and mentor the first-year leaders who have stepped up to be a resource for their fellow first-year students is a really fantastic thing to do.
Being a TedPack mentor is a rewarding experience, and it shapes you to recognize your strengths and weaknesses as a leader at TRSM. I had so much support during my time as a mentor, and I met so many other students that positively impacted my life. I am thankful for the opportunity to grow professionally and academically as a guide to first-year students.
Being a mentor has given me a new perspective in school. Before this role, I was the student who needed guidance and had an endless amount of questions. Now, I am capable of giving incoming students advice. Ultimately, this role expanded my network and gave me a platform to leave a positive impact on my school.
It has influenced by TRSM experience because I'm able to give back to first year students. All of the information, resources, tips, and tricks that I've learned in student groups and the TedPack in my first year has allowed me to pass on this information. It has made me more involved in my school and made it a more enjoyable time. I heavily believe in the fact that your university experience is what you make of it.
Being a TedPack Mentor with the Fit for Business program has given me the opportunity to transition from a shy individual to a an emerging student leader on campus.
Being a TedPack Mentor has given me a platform to enhance my leadership skills while simultaneously improving many first-year students' experiences at TRSM. This opportunity opened my mind to different thoughts and opinions, resulting in greater personal satisfaction. Overall, witnessing the members' success and creating new long-lasting friendships is gratifying.
