Students are required to apply to be admitted into the Ted Rogers Co-op program. Our team assesses the student's eligibility based on academic performance, work experience, extracurricular involvement and level of engagement.
Once accepted into the co-op program, students complete a unique, experiential-based, intensive Co-op Prep Program developed in close collaboration with industry leaders. Prior to commencing their first work term, the program prepares our students through three parts:
- Co-op Symposium: Students kick-off their journey by participating in different activities including a Lumina personality assessment to better understand how to leverage and communicate their strengths within the workplace, Consent Comes First training and more.
- Excel Bootcamp: Students advance their fundamental knowledge and application of Microsoft Excel through three levels of sessions (nine hours total) and a challenge to demonstrate their learning.
- Live Actor Simulation: Through participating in role-playing challenging situations that may happen on the job, students learn in a safe space, while leveraging their Lumina knowledge.
We’re confident that upon completing the co-op prep program, our students possess the knowledge and skills, needed to bring value to your organization, setting them apart in the competitive job market.
