Appointments

Daniel Rubenson has been appointed Executive Director of the "Evidence in Politics and Governance"(egap.org) network. for a three-year term with a two-year renewal starting January 1, 2024. For 2023 he will be co-directing with the outgoing ED, Professor Cyrus Samii, at New York University.EGAP is a research, evaluation, and learning network with worldwide reach. There are currently 247 individual research members and 40 institutional members (including governmental organizations, international humanitarian aid and development organizations, and local or regional civil society organizations) across 33 countries. EGAP promotes rigorous knowledge accumulation, innovation, and evidence-based policy in various governance domains, including accountability, political participation, mitigation of societal conflict, and reducing inequality. It does so by fostering academic-practitioner collaborations, developing tools and methods for analytical rigour, and training academics and practitioners alike, with an intensive focus on the Global South.
