Scholarly and Research Activity
TMU’s Department of Politics and Public Administration is strongly committed to excellence in research. Students and researchers at TMU have direct access to political institutions at the national, provincial, and local levels. Scholars are also engaged in the study of politics in society (“governance”) from both theoretical and practical perspectives. The Department of Politics and Public Administration has produced ground-breaking work in diverse subjects within the discipline including public administration; many areas of public policy; third sector activity; global and international relations, development politics, government-society relations (with foci including women, trade unions, and pressure groups); and parties, elections and political behaviour.
