Aquas Eternus
An exploration in video game production, from sketch to render.
Project Description
Aquas Eternus is a Third Person Adventure Video game that uses the power of Real-Time Rendering to transport the player into an harsh alien world! This project utilizes motion capture to add life to the Main Protagonist: Dr. Riviera and his struggle to survive in Aquas Eternus.
The project was planned as an exploration in video game production, from sketch to render. Most elements are included in a raw state, but meld together in a polished enough build to constitute a simple video game. Most assets were purchased, but all were manually coded together into the singular environment.
The use of motion capture was to mitigate the animation time for cutscenes, but the included data only needed to be polished further, actually highlighting the need for proper animation in 3D projects. In all, the game serves as a testing ground for virtual production and real-time 3D video game design and the impetus for future projects that I can make.
