Dr. Irfan Butt
Overview
Dr. Irfan Butt is an Associate Professor at Ted Rogers School of Management at Ryerson University. His research interests include consumer behavior, digital marketing, and emerging markets. He has authored several papers using systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis. He has published in top tier journals such as Journal of Travel & Tourism Marketing, International Journal of Contemporary & Hospitality Management, Journal of Consumer Marketing, International Journal of Operations & Production Management, Energy Economics, and Journal of Economic Survey.
He uses experiential learning and business simulations as primary teaching pedagogy. He has also received best teacher awards. He serves as external examiner for PhD and Master Thesis in addition to supervising Master students. He regularly reviews papers for journals and serves on the editorial boards of Journal of Business Ecosystems and International Journal of Business and Data Analytics. As an invited guest speaker, he has given talks at universities and conferences in Canada, USA, Pakistan, and Oman.
He received his PhD from Sprott School of Business, Carleton University, Canada, MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona State University, USA and BA from The College of Wooster, USA.
