Welcome to the Health Promotion Programs (HPP)! We believe that your physical and mental wellbeing are integral to your academic journey.
We are part of the Student Integrated Health and Wellbeing department. Our health promotion programs are specifically designed to support and enhance your overall wellbeing and offer connection.
Together, we can build a thriving campus environment where students can feel supported, and flourish physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Health Promotion Programs views wellbeing as a way of living that positively influences how you care for yourself, others and your community. We believe that health is more than just the absence of illness. It is a holistic state encompassing physical, mental, social and spiritual wellbeing. We are committed to fostering wellbeing for all students by promoting awareness, education and providing programs that empower students and boost their resiliency and connection.
Our mission then is to intentionally cultivate a culture of wellbeing that provides comprehensive programming for all dimensions of student life - including physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects. In doing so, we hope to provide our student community with support, tools and resources to support their their wellbeing journey.
Creating a Supportive Environment
We believe that a sense of belonging and community is essential for individuals to thrive. By organizing inclusive events, creating opportunities for social connections, and providing support services, we aim to create a safe and inclusive space where individuals can seek support, share experiences, and build meaningful relationships.
We aim to offer a wide range of programs and services tailored to address the unique needs and challenges faced by our students. From peer support to interactive workshops on stress management, healthy relationships, nutrition education and mindfulness sessions. Our offerings are designed to promote helpful habits and empower our students to thrive during their university years and beyond.
Promoting Health Education and Awareness
Prevention and education are the cornerstones of wellbeing. We strive to increase awareness about the importance of physical and mental health, healthy lifestyle choices, and preventive measures and where to find supports. We want to equip students with the knowledge to make informed choices, and encourage a culture of proactive health management.
Accessibility and Inclusivity
Accessible to all members of the TMU community, regardless of their backgrounds, abilities, or circumstances. We strive to create an inclusive environment that addresses the unique needs of diverse individuals. Our programs are designed to be accessible, culturally sensitive, and inclusive, ensuring that everyone can actively participate and benefit from our initiatives.

We aim to empower you with the knowledge and tools to make informed choices regarding your health and wellbeing. We provide valuable resources on nutrition, sleep hygiene, sexual health, substance abuse prevention, and more.
We understand that university life can sometimes be overwhelming. Our health promotion programs place a strong emphasis on mental wellness, ensuring that you have the resources and support to thrive academically and personally.
Engaging in regular physical activity is crucial for maintaining a healthy body and mind. Our health promotion programs works closely with the Recreation. We can support you in getting connected to Recreation Servies.
Peer Support and Community
Our Wellbeing Learning Hub creates a supportive and inclusive community where you can connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion for well-being. Our groups and individual sessions offer opportunities for social interaction and can provide a sense of belonging.

Our program embraces a student-centered approach, valuing the diversity and individuality of each student. We recognize that wellbeing is a personal journey, and to understand what you it important to you, we need to listen and have you involved.
