Linda Grayson Administrative Leadership Award Recipients

The Linda Grayson Administrative Leadership Awards are in recognition of Linda Grayson, former Vice-President, Administration and Finance. These awards recognize two individuals (one Senior Administrator or Director and one MAC, CUPE 233 or OPSEU employee) who have demonstrated exceptional leadership through effectively managing a project, activity or team, to achieve outstanding results.

Recipients receive a certificate and a one-time monetary award of $2,000 (subject to applicable deductions).

Teresa DuCroix

Facilities Management and Development

Teresa joined FMD in November 2020, the height of the pandemic. Before physically meeting her team, she gained respect through regular online meetings showcasing her dedication and exemplary people-first leadership qualities of compassion, integrity, empathy, self-awareness, and trustworthiness. Teresa's greatest attributes are motivating and supporting personal and professional growth in others. She challenges the status quo and makes opportunities for collaborative initiatives that bring interdisciplinary groups together to work effectively, make positive changes which build capacities across individual roles and the university community as a whole. Teresa has demonstrated exceptional leadership managing teams as well as multiple cross functional projects.

Jazz Morrow

Student Wellbeing

Jazz Morrow, Manager, Intake & Operations at Academic Accommodation Support (AAS), is nominated for the Linda Grayson Administrative Leadership Award for her outstanding contributions to administrative efficiency. She reduced document processing time by 20-33% through key process improvements, including automating intake forms and streamlining workflows. Jazz's innovations, such as the Express Registration Option (ERO) and 'Community Connections' initiative, have enhanced the administrative operations within AAS, making them more efficient and responsive to students with disabilities. Her people-first leadership fosters a supportive work environment, while her expertise in administration has significantly improved both student services and departmental operations.
