Finch Assadoullaev

Finch (he/they) is a BFA student in TMU's New Media program. Finch is passionate about creating kinetic sculptures that respond to live environmental data and electronic signals. Fascinated by soft robotics, they love designing unconventional systems of motion and movement. Known for their creative problem-solving and iterative design process, Finch excels at reimaginging old mechanisms and technologies in innovative, contemporary ways. 

Finch helps with the day-to-day operations of the Design + Technology LAB, including equipment maintenance, 1-on-1 project support, operating the LAB's in-house laser cutting services, and special project support. 

Additionally, Finch plays a pivotal role in bridging the relationship between the LAB and other creative student groups across campus, contributing to the positive, friendly atmosphere of the Design + Technology LAB.
