Aboriginal Peoples, Pol. and Reconciliation
The course introduces perspectives on Aboriginal Peoples in Canada through an examination of policy. Central to this course is the study of Aboriginal Peoplesâ experience with colonialism, such as the residential school system and child welfare, as well as the struggle for self-determination. Aboriginal worldviews and developing partnerships/alliances with Aboriginal communities will also be explored. Students will be expected to critically examine these topics from their discipline/profession perspective.
