Digital Fabrication Lab

In the Digital Fabrication Lab, a student works on a design using a laser cutting machine, which is connected to a computer monitor.

With an advanced collection of tools and technologies, the Digital Fabrication Lab is a critical making space, supporting all students with three-dimensional design, scale modelling, and rapid prototyping. Students gain experience with cutting-edge equipment, including laser-cutting systems, 3D printers and vacuum formers, which create 3-D geometries using thermoplastic materials. In addition to supporting DAS classes, the Digital Fabrication Lab is used for co-curricular activities and projects that students undertake, as well as diverse scholarly, research and creative projects of faculty.
