CAD Lab

In the CAD Lab, around 15 students work on desktop computers situated on long, communal desks.

Throughout your studies, you will learn a variety of computer programs for designing architectural settings and structures; creating state-of-the-art renderings and dynamic presentations; analysing building performance and processes; visualising complexity; and experimenting with representational strategies. Our CAD Lab features 40 graphics workstations with a wide range of architectural and building science software applications. These programs include Revit, Rhino, a variety of rendering engines, Adobe Creative Cloud suite, MS Project, EnergyPlus and other software. The lab is open to all DAS students 24x7 and is also used as an instructional space for classes and tutorials.
