Woodshop

In the Woodshop, a student wearing safety glasses carefully cuts a piece of blue material using a vertical band saw.

Get hands-on experience in our Woodshop, where you will learn how to create materials for your three-dimensional architectural explorations and other design projects. From miter saws and drill presses to belt sanders and jointers, learn how to safely operate a variety of tools and machinery. Trained staff will help you become familiar with the equipment and also provide technical support and ensure safety. The Woodshop also supports fabrication projects for DAS students and faculty, including building full-scale structures for co-curricular activities and display pieces for the Paul H. Cocker Gallery.
