Lighting Improvements

In our audit of all general use classrooms on campus, we found that the lighting conditions in many of the learning spaces across campus are below minimum standard recommendations.

Using the data generated by the audit, Facilities Management and Development set about to improve the lighting in classrooms identified as being below minimum standards. These improvements included replacing bulbs and defective ballasts, and ensuring all lights have same colour temperature. 

As of November 2020, improvements had been made to the lighting in 169 classrooms, representing a total seating capacity of 12,357.
