Changes from 12/22/2022 to 01/11/2023

  • Thursday, December 22, 9:00 p.m. to Friday, December 23, 1:00 a.m.
    Upgrade O/S of Papercut application and database servers.
    User Impact: Student printing will be unavailable.
  • Monday, December 26, 9:30 a.m. to Wednesday, December 28 8:00 p.m.
    Update TMU Resource and Identity Management system to support new @torontomu.ca email domain
    User Impact: Access to Activation, Self Service and RMS Admin will be unavailable during the entire Google migration.
  • Monday, December 26, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
    Update Google URLs in various places in my.torontomu portal.
    User Impact: Access to my.torontomu portal maybe intermittent during the period.
  • Monday, December 26, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
    Updating XMedius.
    User Impact: XMedius will not be available. Communication has been sent to users.
  • Monday, December 26, 10:00 a.m. to Wednesday, December 28, 8:00 p.m.
    Change Google Workspace's primary domain to torontomu.ca and change everyone's email address from @torontomu.ca to @torontomu.ca.
    User Impact: Users may not be able to access Google or parts of Google during this period.
  • Monday, December 26, 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
    Updating e-Accounts for one card.
    User Impact: Student Transact accounts will not be available to load cash. One Card will be posting a message on the e-Accounts page.
  • Wednesday, December 28, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
    Change D2L URL in my.torontomu portal.
    User Impact: No user impact.
  • Wednesday, December 28, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
    Change D2L Brightspace domain.
    User Impact: While a full outage is not expected, the change to the domain name will impact various elements of the Brightspace environment, including content that includes absolute links, as well as access to up to 20 integrated applications.
  • Tuesday, January 3, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
    Poll Everywhere will update users' email addresses to @torontomu.ca
    User Impact: While a full outage is not expected, active sessions may be disrupted, requiring users to login again. Access through Brightspace will not be available until the change is completed.
  • Tuesday, January 3, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
    Update Ryecast domain to .torontomu.ca
    User Impact: No user impact.
  • Tuesday, January 3, 9:50 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
    Updating CAS for Stream Video platform.
    User Impact: None expected. Active users/sessions need to reauthenticate.
  • Wednesday, January 11, 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
    Updating CAS for blog.torontomu.ca.
    User Impact: None expected but users with a current session may be required to login again.

Changes from 01/11/2023 to 01/18/2023

  • Thursday, January 12, 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
    Applying assorted fixes and features to Adobe AEM.
    User Impact: None expected, https://www.torontomu.ca won't be affected.
  • Thursday, January 12, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
    Updating Blackboard Transact system. 
    User Impact: One Card office is aware of the update, and will require a brief outage in services. The outage should not be more than 5 minutes.
  • Thursday, January 12, 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
    Updating VPN access.
    User Impact: Only VPN users may be impacted.

    User Impact    : CQ authors will not be able to author prod between 6:30 am and 8 am. www.torontomu.ca won't be affected.

    User Impact    :
    • MyServiceHub - no outage.
    • eHR - web services will be down from 8-10 am.
