Occupational Health and Safety Minor

The Occupational Health and Safety Minor will prepare students for their responsibilities in protecting workers from risks and hazards in the workplace. It will find immediate application in both public and private sectors, and especially in the increasingly important area of "due diligence", which has legal ramifications for everyone in supervisory or management roles.

The Occupational Health and Safety Minor is not available to Occupational and Public Health Program students.

To receive the Minor, a student must complete the following six (6) courses:

OHS 208 Occupational Health and Safety Law
OHS 421 Occupational Hygiene Methods I
OHS 477 Integrated Disability Management
OHS 508 Occupational Health
OHS 608 Hazard Recognition and Control
OHS 718 Systems Management I
