HOME Optional Specializations

Optional Specializations
Ryerson University’s Optional Specializations provide an opportunity for students to enrich and augment their studies by focusing on a particular area of interest. 

Specialization courses are completed in addition to the student’s regular program requirements, often in the Spring/Summer or via Distance Education. Optional Specializations are noted on the student’s Official Transcript upon graduation from their program.

Students must follow the Specialization’s published curriculum and also must maintain a Clear Academic Standing.

To pursue an Optional Specialization, students must officially register. Some of the courses have pre-requisites. Contact information, registration procedures, and deadlines are provided below.
Available to all programs and plans.

 
  
Only available to students in baccalaureate Engineering programs.

 
Only available to students in the Faculty of Science and all baccalaureate Engineering programs (except Industrial Engineering).
