HOME Minors Law Minor

Law Minor

Increasingly, legal issues are affecting organizations in many fields, whether through increased regulation of particular workplaces or through the need to understand the more global issues affecting many different organizations, in relation to the legal aspects of, for example, international trade, environmental health or information technology. The Law Minor is designed to allow students to prepare themselves for the legal and regulatory environment which they will meet and which they will need to understand in order to function well in their chosen field.

The Law Minor is not available to Business Management Program - Law and Business Plan students.

To receive the Minor, a student must complete six (6) courses from the following curriculum:

Required courses (2):

LAW 122 Business Law
LAW 603 Advanced Business Law

Plus three (3) of the following:

LAW 525 The Law of the Marketplace
LAW 529 Employment and Labour Law
LAW 723 Issues in Information Technology Law

LAW 724

Legal Aspects of International Business

Plus one (1) of the following:

ECN 321 Introduction to Law and Economics
ENH 121 Health Law
ENH 721 Public Health Law
LAW 321 The Law of Hospitality and Tourism
LAW 525 The Law of the Marketplace
LAW 529 Employment and Labour Law
LAW 723 Issues in Information Technology Law
LAW 724 Legal Aspects of International Business
OHS 208 Occupational Health and Safety Law
PPA 301 Administrative Law
