LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS MINOR

The Minor in Labour and Employment Relations provides students with an interdisciplinary approach to the examination of work and employment relations in Canada.  With required coursework in both management and the social sciences, it is designed to assist student pursuit of professional opportunities in labour and employment relations, and to enable more advanced and diverse opportunities for further study in the field.

To receive the Minor, a student must complete six courses from the following course of study:

Two of the following:

MHR 600
MHR 711
MHR 721
LAW 529
LAW 606


Three of the following*:

ECN 605*
OHS 208
POG 315 or PPA 125
PPA 319*
SOC 472* or SOC 501
SOC 606 

* Minimum of two must be taken.

A maximum of two core courses from the student's degree program, (either Required/Required Group/Professional elective) may be applied to a Minor.
