Bridging Divides Data Acquisition Grants for TMU scholars

Bridging Divides is excited to announce a new funding opportunity to support data-driven research. We are offering four (4) one-year grants of up to $50,000 each to fund the purchase of datasets that will advance research within the Bridging Divides program.

Who Can Apply?

These grants are available to any TMU Bridging Divides research lead who is currently receiving funding through the Bridging Divides research program.

Eligible Expenses

Funding must be used exclusively for the purchase of datasets. The grant cannot be used to pay for any other research expenses, including the hiring of research assistants, highly qualified personnel (HQP), or other staffing costs.

This initiative aims to enhance access to critical data, enabling researchers to generate impactful insights on migration, mobility, and integration. Stay tuned for details on the application process and deadlines.

How to Apply

To apply for the Bridging Divides Data Acquisition Grant, please submit  (google form) THIS FORM (external link)  along with a 1-page PDF outlining:

  • The dataset you wish to purchase
  • How this dataset will strengthen or build on an existing Bridging Divides research project

Deadline to Apply

Applications must be submitted by May 31, 2025. 

Applications will be reviewed based on their potential to advance ongoing research within the program.
