Faculty of Arts Probation

Keep in mind that everyone's academic path has its ups and downs. If your final grades aren't quite what you expected, don't be disheartened.

What matters most is your determination to continue learning and improving.

Grades & Standings

You can view your fall grades and academic standing on MyServiceHub (on the “My Academics” tab through the student centre).

If you want to know the percentage range associated with your letter grade, you can view the university grading scale.

If you have questions about what your academic standing means, please review the academic standing definitions.

Unsure how to calculate your grade point average? Visit the how to calculate your GPA website.

Add to your google calendar by clicking the "+ Google Calendar" button on the bottom right!

Academic and Wellness Supports

To help you navigate any academic or personal challenges, TMU offers many wellness and academic supports that we strongly encourage you to use.

If you are in need of support urgently, you can speak with a trained counsellor by phone at any time through Good2Talk (external link)  or you can contact the Gerstein Centre Distress Line (external link)  at 416-929-5200.

Required to Withdraw

If you've been asked to withdraw from your program temporarily, consider this an opportunity to regroup! You can't take any credit courses while you are away, but you can cultivate other life experiences that may increase your chances of a successful reintegration into the TMU community.

Demonstrate your commitment to your personal and professional growth by finding opportunities to volunteer or work while you are not taking classes. Your involvement and consistency will strengthen your reinstatement application, which you can submit 12 months after the RTW standing was assigned.

Re-entry into your program can happen sooner if you enrol in the Fresh Start program (at least one term after assigned RTW).
