Michele Walkau, Senior Vice President, Brand and Culture, Joined First Capital in 2019. Michele has overall responsibility for First Capital’s people, branding and communications functions. Michele has over 20 years of commercial real estate experience. Prior to joining First Capital, she was a senior executive at GWL Realty Advisors where she led human resources, sustainability, innovation and communications. Michele has an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario and a Masters of Science degree in Education from Niagara University in New York. She serves as the Chair of the Governance Committee and Secretary for the Canada Green Building Council and is a past board director of the Royal Canadian Military Institute. In 2021, Michele was selected as one of Report on Business Magazine’s top 50 Best Executives.
