Charles has led many significant human resources and organizational development initiatives.  He is currently EY Canada’s Talent Team Director for the Assurance practice. He held a similar role working with EY’s leadership team for the Tax practice before moving to Assurance.  Prior to joining EY, he served as the Director of Human Resources for another Big 4 consulting firm in Canada for several years. 

Charles serves on the board of KADEM a not-for-profit focused on health promotion and youth development for the African Canadian community, medical missions and supplying medical equipment to Ghana. He also serves on the board of Bethany-kids, an organization that trains and provides resources to paediatric surgeons across Africa. He served on the board of Farm Radio International (FRI), a not-for-profit organization focused on improving food security and health in rural Africa. 

Charles is a frequent speaker on HR strategy, inclusion, M&A, and leadership development. He previously served on the editorial board of HRPA’s HR Magazine. He has an MIR degree from Queen’s University and an honours bachelor od science degree in business from the University of Ghana Business School. He holds the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) and Certified Human Resources  Executive (CHRE) designations from the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA).
