CAMH presents: special FREE screening of When Hope Breaks Through

CAMH (the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health) is delighted to invite you to a special free screening of When Hope Breaks Through for Canadian Mental Health Week.

 

The inspiring feature documentary film follows Mike Shoreman, who traveled over 300km through open water to shine a light on the mental health crisis.

 

Shoreman became the first person with a disability to cross all five great lakes by paddleboard – and the When Hope Breaks Through team was there with him to capture all the highs and lows of his journey.

 

Join celebrated news anchor Angie Seth, Mike Shoreman and other special guests on May 10, 2024 to view the documentary and put your questions to the people who made and featured in the film.

Launchpad for Women Entrepreneurs is available via on-demand, self-paced learning, virtual or in-person sessions, across Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Completing a series of workshops earns you a certificate. Besides curriculum, there are wayfinding resources, networking events and the chance to sell your products and services.

Youth for Entrepreneurs

Youth for Entrepreneurship (Y4E), is a National Program providing awareness to youth ages 15 to 24 who are interested in entrepreneurship. The program is offered across 3 provinces - Ontario, Alberta and New Brunswick  with a francophone component in New Brunswick. Y4E will support youth in learning facts, digital skills and practical ways to start their business journey!  Get inspired by attending various awareness workshops including Youth Entrepreneurship Foundational Topics, Youth Entrepreneurship Opportunities, Digital Literacy for Youth Entrepreneurs, Financial Know How for Youth Entrepreneurs, Marketing and Social Media focusing on Youth Entrepreneurs and real-life success stories from young business leaders like yourself. The Youth for Entrepreneurship program is a media contest is designed to educate and empower young people to raise awareness on youth entrepreneurship as well as the resources related to entrepreneurship that are available in Canada. To participate, be between the ages of 18 – 24 and live in the province of Ontario,  Alberta, or New Brunswick at the time of participation. Submit a poster or 60-second video that helps young people understand the world of entrepreneurialism by January 31st, 2024 for the chance to win some exciting prizes!
