Field Placement Process
Ryerson’s School of Social Work follows a rigorous process to ensure your placement is a good fit for you. The school’s Field Education Office facilitates this process in two key time periods:
The summer before your placement is scheduled to start, the office will email information to your Ryerson account about field placements and the placement process. You must tell the office your preferences for placement opportunities. You will then be matched with potential placements and begin preparing your applications.
You must forward your resumé and cover letter to your placement settings and arrange interviews. You will then confirm your placement and complete any pre-placement requirements.
