The "Unexpected Visitor" Series
Serendipity characterizes this new speaker series from the Office of Social Innovation (OSI), created by chance rather than intent. Unscheduled, we welcome speakers to address an emerging topic in the area of social justice. In a virtual world, a guest invited to class may be interested in their message reaching a larger audience, in an analogue world an unforeseen traveller passing through Toronto may stop by to present a work in progress. In launching the “Unexpected Visitor” Series, OSI is delighted to create an unplanned opportunity - on the spur of a moment - to bring intriguing speakers and ideas to the Toronto Metropolitan University community, anticipating thoughtful discussion and interesting outcomes.
