Gabrielle McMann

Gabrielle McMann (Ojibway) is a member of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. She is a journalist, a writer and a digital-designer. Her journey in journalism has been on the frontier of reconciliation, as the digital editor of TMU’s Reconciling Journalism Website. Which is a part of the Creatives Schools efforts to respond to the Truth and Reconciliation Commissions Call to Action #86. Gabby has worked on uplifting Indigenous voices, perspectives and stories through journalism. She also helped plan Indigenous-led events at TMU. Gabby worked as the social media, design and communications lead for the 2023 TMU student-led powwow and Indigenous Education Week.
