Giveaway at Trans & Gender-Diverse Swim
Free Swimwear from urBasics & RUBIES throughout January
Building on the popularity of our swimwear giveaway during Trans Awareness Month, we're excited to announce a second swimwear giveaway throughout the month of January 2024. This time, our Trans & Gender-Diverse Swim will feature not one but two sponsors!
We are thrilled to welcome back RUBIES (external link) , who will continue providing swimwear for trans women throughout the month. Joining them in January is urBasics (external link) , who will provide swimwear and tape for trans men.
These swimsuits are specifically designed with the anatomy of trans women & men in mind:
- The RUBIES Sky Shaping One-Piece (external link) uses the highest quality compression spandex and adjustable straps to keep everything in place for the perfect fit; no tucking required.
- The urBasics Swimsuit Binder (external link) combines a cleverly integrated chest-binder inside the upper part of the suit with an extra layer of elastane.
How does it work?
- urBasics: Those in need of attire for trans men are welcome to visit our table during Trans & Gender-Diverse Swim to pick up an article that's yours to keep! Limit one (1) per person.
- RUBIES: Simply email hello@rubyshines.com to request a suit in your size. No need to visit us in person!
Any patron (of any gender) may take a swimsuit, and you’re not required to go swimming before taking one.
What is Trans & Gender-Diverse Swim?
Trans & Gender-Diverse Swim is an inclusive, drop-in swim time for trans and gender-diverse members of our community. Anyone committed to creating a positive space for trans folks is welcome to join in a combined Lane / Open Swim format. Privacy curtains will be drawn.
Trans & Gender-Diverse Swim takes place from 1:45 PM - 3:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the school year (i.e. not just during Trans Awareness Month).
