Areas of ExpertiseDr Samim was recently appointed as Senior Fellowship at Massey College, University of Toronto. Senior Fellows are prominent members of society with academic and professional interests from around the world. She is the Chief Operating Officer Global and Associate Director, East Africa at the Brain and Mind Institute at the Aga Khan university. Samim Hasham has Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Pharmacy, Master’s in International Health Leadership from McGill university, and a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the university of Colorado. She was previously a Clinical Consultant pharmacist with Canadian Mental Health Association, Peel at the Rapid Access Addiction Medicine Clinics (RAAM). Samim is a Lecturer at Toronto Metropolitan university, Toronto, McMaster university, Hamilton, Faculty at Adler College, Toronto and Continuing Education Instructor at New Mennonite College, Toronto. She frequently presents at local, regional, and international conferences and was co-chair of the Scarborough HSJCC. She was selected to participate in the Inclusive Excellence and Scholarly Teaching Implementation Working Group as a member for the 20212022 academic term at McMaster university. Samim is the recipient of the prestigious Spirit of Belonging Award from the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Toronto for her outstanding commitment and dedication to better mental health.
