Moumita Sen

Moumita Sen is currently pursuing her PhD in Geography at the University of Ottawa. She holds an MPhil Degree in Development Studies specializing in Geography from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). She has completed her Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Her PhD research focuses on climate induced migration and how the influx of internal migration is reshaping the urban landscape and influencing governance system of Bangladesh. She has experience of working in development sector focusing on climate change, migration, adaptation, WaSH and DRR with coastal community. She works as a research assistant under her PhD supervisor, Professor Luisa Veronis with the MEMO project team.
