Chandana is a Junior Researcher of the MEMO Project from Kathmandu University, School of Arts, where she also completed her Master’s in Human and Natural Resources Studies. Her academic interests lie in the cross-border migration of Nepalis, and migration and human development approach. For her Master’s research, she focused on low-skilled Nepali migrants specifically the Namles and their act of migration. Her research aimed to capture the lived experiences of Nepali porters (Namles) of Gangtok, Sikkim, by connecting traditional migration theories with the human development approach. In addition to her academic background, she has over six years of experience teaching English as a Foreign Language in Nepal, India and Vietnam.
