Keep on top of what’s happening in student governance — or even consider running for office yourself. Develop professional skills while advocating for your peers through the Financial Mathematics Course Union (external link) and Mathematics and Its Applications Course Union (external link) .

Test your skill against students from around the world, and build your network. Our students have competed at the Rotman International Trading Competition (external link) and attended industry events in Toronto’s financial district.

Want to attend a professional conference, participate in a competition, or complete a special project? Check if your idea might qualify for funding through the Faculty of Science and Undergraduate Science Society of Toronto Metropolitan (external link) .

Join the effort to promote women in science and mathematics. Women in Math (external link) and Association of Undergraduate Women in Science (external link) connects you to professional, student and social events, in support of STEM females.

Check out the USSTM’s academic, professional and social events and services for all Faculty of Science students, including: Toronto Metropolitan Science year-end formal, MetHacks, academic crash courses, access to special events funding, and more.

Open to Faculty of Science students, there’s casual seating, whiteboards, and basics to heat up eats and drinks. Great for group study, hosting events or chilling out. Your OneCard gets you in (Kerr Hall East in KHE 223).

Dozens of student groups exist within the TMU community — both within and beyond math and science. Find a group that shares your interests or explore completely new interests. Make new friends and have fun.
