Bharat Shah
Overview
Bharat Shah is a Professor in the Ted Rogers School of Information Technology Management at Toronto Metropolitan University. He has taught several courses including Managing Information Systems, Information Technology and Strategic Management, Applied Feasibility Analysis, Business Information Systems, IS Project Management, Systems Analysis and Design, Information Processing Software.
Bharat has published papers pertaining to software project management and consulted to organizations including financial, manufacturing and service sectors. He is a co-author of the book, “How to Manage a Successful Software Project,” published by John Wiley & Sons in 1995. The second edition of the book was published in October 2000.
As a principal of his consulting firm, he applies experiential learning techniques to enhance classroom teaching. His consulting expertise includes managing software projects, assessing requirements and improving business processes, supply chain systems, IT strategy, and data analytics. He is the Faculty Advisor of Ryerson Consulting Group (RCG) and provides direction and advice to students regarding new project initiatives to improve business operations. RCG consultants are senior students and work on paid and pro bono projects.
