CERC and Bridging Divides Graduate Student Stipends

CERC Migration Graduate Student Stipends

The Canada Excellence Research Chair offers Graduate Student Stipends to full time MA students studying at Toronto Metropolitan University on a migration and/or migrant integration-related topic.

The scholarship involves a total of up to $10,000 support. Successful candidates will be mentored by a member of the CERC Migration Research team, attend Monthly Migration Working Group and present their research at a dedicated session, as well as have access to occasional research workshops and conferences that the CERC will organize. Candidates must apply to their MA program of interest as per the specific program’s guidelines and requirements. The program will invite successful top ranked applicants to apply for this scholarship in their offers of admission.

Bridging Divides Graduate Student Stipend 

Every year, Bridging Divides (BD) offers a limited number of stipends to full-time Master's and PhD students studying or applying to study at Toronto Metropolitan University on a topic related to one of Bridging Divide’s four research themes (opens in new window) 

Student recipients of the BD Graduate Student Stipend will be expected to participate in BD’s research training activities and workshops and will be integrated into a vibrant research team of scholars and graduate students, enjoying a comprehensive scientific and professional development experience. Supervisors or co-supervisors must be TMU faculty members directly involved in the BD program.
