Qualitative Data Analysis Workshop at the University of Namibia (UNAM)

On December 11, 2024, the Department of Psychology and Social Work at the University of Namibia (UNAM) hosted a Qualitative Data Analysis Workshop. This engaging workshop took attendees on a journey through the art of qualitative data management and analysis. From organizing and storing data to creating robust Data Management Plans (DMPs), attendees explored the tools needed to handle research data effectively. Additionally, attendees gained practical experience with QDA Miner Lite, a user-friendly Computer-Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis Software (CAQDAS). The workshop was led by Dr. Monica Ruiz-Casares and Negin Zamani facilitated the training for QDA Miner Lite. Attended by 20 faculty members and researchers, this interactive workshop emphasized the importance of robust data analysis methods for advancing qualitative research in health and social sciences. The workshop took place at the UNAM Library pursuant to the Memorandum and Understanding (MOU) signed by UNAM and Toronto Metropolitan University.
